Which limit runs out first?
Pick your typical document — or type your average PDF size — and see the effective monthly capacity of every plan. Sizes below are measured on real rendered documents.
uses ~0.5% of the data quota
uses ~1.3% of the data quota
uses ~2.6% of the data quota
uses ~4.3% of the data quota
The data quota counts generated output only — downloads don't debit it (3 per file). Your dashboard shows both meters live. When data runs out first on Business, extra volume is $0.55/GB.
What does 10 GB actually hold?
Measured output sizes, rendered to A4. For every mainstream transactional workload the document count runs out long before the data quota does.

Billing & Payments FAQ
Frequently asked questions regarding quotas, upgrades, invoicing, cancellations, and usage tracking.
A render needs headroom on both meters, so your ceiling is whichever runs out first. For transactional documents it's virtually always the document count: an invoice is ~27 KB, so 5,000 of them use about 1.3% of Starter's 10 GB data quota. Data binds only above ~2 MB average per document — see the calculator above.
You get an email at 80% of either meter — and the email names which meter it is. At 100% new renders are rejected with a clear error until the monthly window resets or you upgrade. On the Business plan you can add data volume at $0.55/GB, self-service up to 2 TB — nothing is purchased automatically.
No. Requests with "test": true are free — they debit neither the document nor the data meter. Test mode is rate-limited instead: 60 requests/min and 2,000/day.
Yes. Every plan — including Free — gets HMAC-SHA256-signed webhook delivery with 5 retries (2/5/15/30/60 s backoff, 6 attempts in total) and a dead-letter queue. Webhook secret rotation and custom delivery headers are Pro and Business features.
A generated PDF stays downloadable for 24 hours (3 attempts, one active stream — a busy rejection doesn't cost an attempt), then it is deleted; physical purge completes within 48 hours. Files are encrypted at rest (SSE-S3) while they exist.
The per-file limit is 150 MB on every plan. If you need more, contact support and we'll review a per-account override.
Card verified, not charged — Free stays $0. Verification is our anti-abuse gate: without it, disposable accounts would consume the rendering capacity paying and free users share. Nothing upgrades or charges automatically, and test mode is free on every plan.
Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time directly through the developer billing console. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.
